Sony Permanently Lowers PlayStation VR2 Price to $399 Starting March

Sony has announced a permanent $150 price reduction for the PlayStation VR2, effective March 2025, bringing the cost to $399.99 in the US, €449.99 in Europe, and £399.99 in the UK.
A bundle including the PS VR2, Sense controllers, stereo headphones, and a voucher for 'Horizon: Call of the Mountain' will also be available at the same reduced price.
The price cut follows reports of unsold inventory and production pauses in 2024, as the headset struggled to meet initial sales expectations after its 2023 launch.
Sony has highlighted recent updates, including low-latency hand tracking, which enhances gameplay by allowing intuitive hand movement controls in supported games.
The growing library of VR titles, including recent releases and upcoming games like 'Aces of Thunder' and 'Dreams of Another,' aims to make the PS VR2 more appealing to consumers.
