South Carolina Diver Narrowly Escapes Death in Alligator Attack

Will Georgitis was attacked by an alligator on April 15 while diving for fossils in the Cooper River.
Georgitis used a screwdriver to fend off the alligator after it clamped down on his arm and dragged him to the riverbed.
Despite severe injuries including a broken arm and dislocated bone, Georgitis managed to escape by ripping his arm out of the alligator's jaws.
He is now recovering, facing several surgeries and a six-month recovery period.
Georgitis has warned other divers about the dangers of alligators in South Carolina's waters.
