SpaceX Capsule Arrives at ISS to Retrieve Stranded Astronauts

NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Barry Wilmore, stuck in orbit for nearly 10 months, are set to return to Earth after a rescue mission reaches the ISS.

NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Barry Wilmore have been stranded on the ISS since June 2024 due to technical issues with their original spacecraft, extending their mission from one week to nearly 10 months.
SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule, carrying the new 'Crew 10' team, successfully docked with the ISS to facilitate the replacement of the current 'Crew 9'.
Crew 10 includes astronauts Anne McClain, Nichole Ayers, Takuya Onishi, and Kirill Peskow, who will remain aboard the ISS until the fall of 2025.
The return of Crew 9, including Williams, Wilmore, Nick Hague, and Alexander Gorbunow, is scheduled for Wednesday, though weather conditions may cause delays.
NASA opted to send the malfunctioning Starliner spacecraft back to Earth unmanned in September, leaving Williams and Wilmore without a return vehicle until now.
