SpaceX Delays Launch to Replace Stranded NASA Astronauts on ISS

A hydraulic issue at the launch pad postponed the Crew-10 mission, which aims to bring home astronauts stuck in space for nine months.

NASA and SpaceX postponed the Crew-10 launch due to a hydraulic system issue on the ground, with no immediate confirmation of the next launch attempt.
Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams have been on the International Space Station (ISS) since June 2024 after Boeing's Starliner spacecraft was deemed unsafe for their return.
The Crew-10 mission will send four astronauts, including two active-duty U.S. military officers, to the ISS to replace the current crew and enable Wilmore and Williams' return to Earth.
The mission was expedited following calls from President Donald Trump and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to prioritize the astronauts' return after delays attributed to the Starliner issues.
Wilmore and Williams are expected to return aboard a SpaceX capsule as early as March 16, pending the successful arrival of the Crew-10 team.
