SpaceX Rocket Launch Creates Glowing Spiral in Alaska Sky

A SpaceX rocket launched from California released excess fuel that turned to ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, reflecting sunlight and creating a glowing spiral visible in the night sky over Alaska.
Photographers captured the phenomenon, which resembled a galaxy, on camera and shared the images widely.
The spiral appeared amid the northern lights and lasted for a few minutes before dissipating.
The rocket had carried over 50 satellites into space during its mission.
While initially mysterious, scientists were able to determine the cause of the spiral as the rocket's fuel release at high altitude.
