Overview

  • The CRUE has finalized a technical agreement to standardize the structure and evaluation of the Selectividad (PAU) for 30 out of 35 subjects, covering 85% of the exam areas.
  • The agreement establishes common exam formats, competency thresholds, and scoring rules, including unified penalties for orthographic errors.
  • Regional diversity in Bachillerato curricula is preserved, as the pact does not unify exam content across Spain's autonomous communities.
  • More than 550 experts and 25 specialists contributed to the agreement, which builds on the 2024 Bilbao Acuerdo de Mínimos and government mandates for competency-based assessment.
  • The finalized framework will be presented to the Ministry of Education and autonomous communities for implementation in the 2025–2026 academic year.
