Speeding BMW Kills Two Women in Indore Hit-and-Run

The driver, rushing to deliver a birthday cake, fled the scene but was later arrested by police.

  • The incident occurred late Sunday night when a BMW, driving in the wrong direction, collided with a scooter carrying Diksha Yadav, 25, and Lakshmi Tomar, 24.
  • Both women were flung into the air and sustained critical injuries; they died during treatment at a nearby hospital.
  • The driver, Gajendra Singh, 28, fled the scene after crashing the BMW into a pole but was apprehended by police shortly after.
  • Singh was reportedly in a hurry to deliver a birthday cake to a friend, which led him to drive recklessly in the wrong direction.
  • A case has been registered against Singh under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, and further investigation is ongoing.
