Spotify Raising Monthly Subscription Price to $10.99

Spotify announced it will raise the price of its Premium subscription plan from $9.99 to $10.99 per month in the US.
The price increase, Spotify's first in the US since launching in 2011, is expected to take effect next week.
The move follows similar recent price hikes by other major streaming services like YouTube Music, Apple Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek had previously hinted at a future price increase for the platform's Premium tier.
The streaming giant is also reportedly developing a new high-fidelity audio offering called "Spotify HiFi" to launch later this year.
