Seth's estranged husband, Venkat Raman, was not allowed to meet their son for the past five weeks despite a court order.
Seth had asked Raman to pick up their son in Bengaluru on January 7, a day after she had already checked into the Goa apartment with their son.
The child's body was discovered in Seth's suitcase on January 8, when she was headed back to Bengaluru.
Seth has not yet confessed to the crime and has shown 'no remorse' according to police sources.
