The All-Star Weekend event will see the basketball stars compete for the first time, with each shot made contributing to a donation to the NBA Foundation.
- Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry and New York Liberty's Sabrina Ionescu will compete in a first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-point challenge during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis on February 17.
- Ionescu, who won the 2023 WNBA All-Star 3-point shootout with a record 37 points, challenged Curry after her win. Curry, the NBA's all-time leader in 3-pointers, accepted the challenge.
- Curry will shoot from the NBA 3-point line with NBA basketballs, while Ionescu will shoot from the WNBA 3-point line with WNBA basketballs.
- Each shot made by Curry and Ionescu will trigger a donation from State Farm to the NBA Foundation to support economic empowerment in the Black community.
- This will be the first time a WNBA player competes in a 3-point contest against an NBA player.
