Suspect Arrested in 20-Year-Old Cold Case Murder of Arizona Teen

Sergio Reyes, 37, extradited from Mexico, faces multiple charges including first-degree murder and sexual assault.

Elena Lasswell was found dead in her Phoenix home on July 10, 2004.
Reyes was identified as a suspect through DNA evidence and witness testimony.
A Maricopa County Grand Jury indicted Reyes in 2014 while he was living in Mexico.
The U.S. Marshals Service facilitated Reyes' extradition to the U.S.
Reyes is being held on a $1.5 million bond and will appear in court on July 17.
