Nance was being sought in connection with the shooting deaths of seven people in two homes in Joliet, as well as another fatal shooting and a non-fatal shooting in the area on Sunday.
Authorities believe Nance knew the victims, who were all members of the same family.
Nance was out on bond for a 2023 shooting case at the time of the incidents.
The manhunt for Nance involved local police, the Will County Sheriff's Office, and the FBI's fugitive task force.
