Swarovski Launches World's First AI-Supported Binoculars

Designed by Marc Newson, the $4,799 AX Visio Will Be Available in February

  • Swarovski Optik has launched the world's first AI-supported binoculars, the AX Visio, capable of recognizing over 9,000 species of birds and wildlife.
  • The binoculars were designed by Marc Newson and feature a 10 x 32 magnification, a 1,000-yard field of view, and a 13MP camera with 1080p video capabilities.
  • The AX Visio's AI technology can identify species in about five seconds, thanks to an integrated operating and object-recognition system powered by a Neural Processing Unit.
  • The binoculars also include a built-in GPS for location-based species identification and a 'Share discoveries' function that allows users to guide others to observed wildlife.
  • The AX Visio binoculars are priced at $4,799 and will be available for purchase in February.
