Takashimaya Apologizes for Hundreds of Damaged Christmas Cakes

Despite investigations, the cause of the damage to the cakes remains unknown.

Takashimaya, a Japanese luxury department store, has apologized for delivering hundreds of damaged strawberry Christmas cakes.
Out of around 2,900 cakes delivered, 807 arrived damaged, leading to a social media backlash.
The cakes, which were made and frozen by Win's Ark and delivered by Yamato Transport, arrived in various stages of collapse.
Despite investigations, the cause of the damage remains unknown.
Takashimaya has pledged to improve its management system and prevent such incidents in the future.
