Tanzanian Student Hostage Confirmed Dead in Hamas Attack

Another Tanzanian student remains missing as circumstances of Mtenga's death remain unclear.

Clemence Felix Mtenga, a Tanzanian student studying agriculture in Israel, has been confirmed dead by the Tanzanian government after being taken hostage by Hamas during the October 7 attack.
The circumstances of Mtenga's death remain unclear, and it is not known where or how his body was found.
Another Tanzanian student, Joshua Mollel, who was also taken hostage during the attack, is still missing.
More than 230 hostages were taken in the Hamas attack, and at least 1,200 people were killed.
Four hostages have been released so far, and the Israeli government confirmed the deaths of two hostages this week.
