Video of the incident showed DeClue repeatedly bashing Gain's head into the pavement, leaving her in a coma.
Gain, who has since been discharged from the hospital, still requires extensive medical treatment and therapy.
DeClue's defense argued she was acting in self-defense after being bullied by Gain.
Missouri Attorney General and other officials had called for DeClue to be tried as an adult.
