Teenagers Arrested for Killing and Consuming Beloved Swan

Three teens were arrested for killing and eating a village swan named Faye.
The teens killed and ate Faye, thinking she was a large duck, and stole her four cygnets.
The village has owned the swans since 1905.
The teens were charged with felony grand larceny and criminal mischief as well as misdemeanor conspiracy and criminal trespassing.
Faye's mate, Manny, may be removed from the pond out of concern for the cygnets' safety.
