Teenagers Charged With Murder for Deadly Rock Attacks on Colorado Drivers

  • Three 18-year-old teenagers in Colorado were charged with first-degree murder for allegedly throwing large rocks at passing cars, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Alexa Bartell.
  • The teens also face multiple charges of attempted murder, assault, and attempted assault for allegedly attacking six other vehicles the same night Bartell was killed.
  • Bartell died after a rock smashed through her windshield, causing her to crash.
  • Two other drivers suffered minor injuries in the attacks.
  • The teens have confessed to throwing rocks at cars on at least 10 other occasions and expressed excitement at hitting the vehicles with the rocks they took from a Walmart parking lot.
