• Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy formally launched the Indira Saura Giri Jala Vikasam scheme in Macharam village on May 19, 2025.
• The scheme will provide solar-powered irrigation to 2.1 lakh tribal farmers across six lakh acres of RoFR lands under a ₹12,600 crore budget over five years.
• A 45-acre pilot project has been initiated in Macharam to benefit tribal farmers whose lands were previously impacted under the BRS regime.
• Officials have been directed to distribute solar pumpsets to all eligible farmers within a month, with a special officer appointed to oversee the rollout.
• The Nallamala Declaration outlines a phased implementation plan and includes complementary measures like horticulture, intercropping, and a ₹1,000 crore youth entrepreneurship scheme starting June 2.
