Tencent Expands Stake in FromSoftware Parent Kadokawa to 7.97%

Tencent has increased its stake in Kadokawa, the parent company of FromSoftware, from 6.86% to 7.97%.
The share purchase was described by Tencent as part of a 'capital business alliance' with Kadokawa.
Sony remains Kadokawa's largest shareholder with a 10% stake, acquired in late 2024 through a ¥50 billion investment.
Kadokawa also owns 69.66% of FromSoftware, while Sony and Tencent collectively hold 30.34% of the game studio's shares.
