Tennessee orthopedic surgeon fatally shot by patient in exam room

Dr. Benjamin Mauck, a respected orthopedic hand surgeon, was shot and killed by a patient during an exam.
The shooting occurred at Campbell Clinic Orthopedics in Collierville, Tennessee on Wednesday.
Police apprehended the male suspect, identified as Larry Pickens, within 5 minutes of the incident.
The shooting appeared targeted, as the gunman only fired at Dr. Mauck and spared other patients and staff.
The motive remains unclear, but Pickens had allegedly been threatening the clinic for over a week prior.
