Ram Drivers Lead in Overall Incidents, While BMW Drivers Have Highest DUI Rate

Tesla drivers have the highest accident rate among all car brands, with 23.54 accidents per 1,000 drivers from November 2022 to November 2023, according to a LendingTree study.
Ram drivers had the highest overall incident rate, including accidents, DUIs, speeding, and citations, with 32.9 incidents per 1,000 drivers.
BMW drivers had the highest DUI rate, with 3.13 DUIs per 1,000 drivers, nearly twice the rate of Ram drivers.
Mercury drivers had the lowest incident rate among the brands studied.
The study did not provide a specific reason for the high accident rates among certain brands, but suggested that certain types of vehicles may attract riskier drivers.
