Tesla Recalls Over 46,000 Cybertrucks Due to Panel Detachment Risk

The recall, affecting vehicles built between November 2023 and February 2025, addresses a defect in adhesive joints that could cause exterior panels to detach and create road hazards.

Tesla is recalling 46,096 Cybertrucks in the U.S. due to a defect in the cant rail adhesive that may cause exterior panels to detach while driving.
The recall applies to all 2024 and 2025 model-year Cybertrucks manufactured between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2025.
Physical repairs, including replacing the cant rail assemblies, will be conducted at Tesla service centers at no cost to owners.
Tesla estimates that only 1% of the recalled vehicles are likely to be affected by the defect, and no crashes, injuries, or fatalities have been reported.
Owners will be notified by mail starting in May 2025, and the defect is expected to be resolved in production by late March 2025.
