Tesla Secures First India Showrooms in Mumbai and Delhi

The electric vehicle giant will open its first Indian showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, with another planned for Delhi's Aerocity.

Tesla has finalized plans to open its first Indian showroom in Mumbai's Maker Maxity at the Bandra Kurla Complex, covering 3,000 square feet with a reported monthly rent of ₹35 lakh.
A second showroom will open in Delhi's Aerocity, occupying 4,000 square feet at a monthly rent of ₹25 lakh, according to sources.
The Mumbai showroom is located in one of India's most expensive commercial real estate hubs, marking one of the highest rental agreements in the automotive industry.
Tesla's entry into India follows a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in February, where they discussed innovation, technology, and sustainable development.
India has recently reduced import duties on premium electric vehicles, signaling a more favorable market environment for Tesla's expansion.
