Texas Grandfather Fatally Shot During McDonald’s Shootout

Jorge Arbaiza, 61, was killed while buying Happy Meals for his grandchildren as two groups exchanged gunfire inside the restaurant.

Arbaiza’s wife, Teresa, was waiting in the parking lot with their grandchildren and called him after noticing people fleeing the restaurant.
In his final moments, Arbaiza told his wife over the phone that he had been shot and was dying.
Police have identified suspect vehicles — a maroon SUV and a white sedan — and are working to locate individuals involved in the altercation.
The victim’s family, including his wife and sister-in-law, have publicly called for justice as the investigation continues.
