Texas Sues Biden Administration Over New Asylum Rule and Phone App For Migrants

Texas is suing the Biden administration over a newly-introduced asylum rule.
The state argues that a phone app used by migrants to set up appointments at the border encourages illegal immigration.
The app, called CBP One, allows migrants without proper documentation to make appointments to come to a port of entry and seek entry into the United States.
Texas argues that the Biden administration is encouraging people to come to the U.S. even though they don’t have legal basis to stay.
The lawsuit seeks to throw out the entire asylum rule, called the Circumvention of Lawful Pathways.
