Thieves Steal Over $100,000 in Dimes From Parked Truck in Bizarre Philadelphia Heist

A truck carrying $750,000 in dimes from the Philadelphia Mint was broken into overnight while parked in a Walmart parking lot.
The thieves cut open the truck and stole at least $100,000 worth of dimes, leaving piles scattered across the parking lot.
The dimes were en route from Philadelphia to Florida when the truck driver parked for the night.
Cargo thefts have been on the rise in Philadelphia, though most thefts target goods like food, alcohol and electronics rather than cash.
