Three Americans Killed and Teen Critically Injured in Mexico Shooting

A family vacation in Durango turned tragic when an attack left three adults dead and a 14-year-old boy in critical condition.

Vicente Peña Jr., Antonio Fernández, and Jorge Eduardo Vargas Aguirre were killed in a roadside shooting in Durango, Mexico, while traveling in a vehicle with Illinois license plates.
The attack also critically injured Peña Jr.'s 14-year-old son, who is currently in a medically induced coma and on life support.
The family had traveled to Mexico to celebrate the teenager's birthday and visit relatives during the holidays.
Authorities are investigating the incident, with robbery being considered as a possible motive, though no clear details have been confirmed yet.
