Three Killed in Ohio Plane Crash While En Route to Florida
A father, his son, and a family friend died in a tragic accident shortly after takeoff.
- The victims were identified as Daniel Baker, 44, his father, and Zebulon Logan, 45, who were traveling to Florida to pick up a newly purchased vehicle.
- The crash occurred near the James A. Rhodes Airport in southeast Ohio, just a quarter-mile north of the airport.
- The plane, a Piper PA 32 Cherokee Six, was found burning off the roadway, and all three occupants were confirmed dead at the scene.
- Investigations into the cause of the crash are being conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board.
- The victims' remains have been sent to the Montgomery County coroner’s office for autopsies.
