Three killed, six injured in shooting at unlicensed Kansas City club with history of disturbances, police say

Kansas City police say three people were killed and six were injured in a shooting at an auto shop known for hosting large, unlicensed gatherings after hours where attendees would drink and party.
The business did not have proper licensing to operate as a club and had a history of police responses to disturbances over the past two years.
The mayor suggested the business be shut down if it knew large crowds would gather there without proper security measures in place.
A person of interest has been taken into custody for questioning about the shooting, but no charges have been filed yet.
Witnesses reported hearing over 40 gunshots fired during the incident in the parking lot of the auto shop.
