Three Labourers Die in Delhi Tent Fire Triggered by Gas Cylinder Explosion

The fire broke out early Tuesday morning in a makeshift shelter in Anand Vihar, leaving three dead and one injured.

The fire occurred at approximately 2:00 AM in a temporary shelter near Anand Vihar in Delhi, housing four labourers employed by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL).
Three men, identified as Jaggi (30), Shyam Singh (40), and Kanta Prasad (37), all from Uttar Pradesh, died due to asphyxiation and burns.
One survivor, Nitin, managed to escape after the fire intensified, but the others were trapped when attempts to unlock the tent's door failed.
The fire was reportedly caused by a diesel-powered lamp used for lighting, which ignited a gas cylinder, leading to an explosion.
Authorities have launched an investigation to confirm the exact cause of the fire, with the bodies sent for autopsy and statements from witnesses recorded.
