Tiger Woods Biopic in Development at Amazon MGM with Obamas' Higher Ground

Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the rights to Kevin Cook’s book 'The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played.'
The biopic will highlight Tiger Woods' rise from child prodigy to one of the most accomplished golfers in history, focusing on his unprecedented 'Tiger Slam' achievement of winning four consecutive major championships between 2000 and 2001.
Barack and Michelle Obama's production company, Higher Ground, is in talks to produce the film, alongside veteran sports movie producer Irwin Winkler.
Reinaldo Marcus Green, known for directing the Oscar-nominated 'King Richard,' will helm the project, bringing his expertise in sports biographical storytelling.
The film will not delve into Woods' personal scandals or injuries but will emphasize his groundbreaking achievements, including becoming the first Black golfer to win a major championship and raising golf's global profile.
