Baseball legend Tommy John believes his political views, particularly his support for Donald Trump, have influenced his exclusion from the Hall of Fame.

Tommy John, known for the elbow surgery bearing his name, has 288 career wins and a 3.34 ERA.
John was on the Hall of Fame ballot from 1995 to 2009 and missed out on Veterans Committee votes in 2011, 2014, 2018, and 2020.
John suggests his support for Donald Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections may have hurt his chances of induction.
Despite his significant contributions to baseball, John never received more than 31.7% of the vote from the Baseball Writers' Association of America.
