Top YouTuber Pleads Guilty To Plane Crash Conspiracy For Views And Cash

The YouTuber Trevor Jacob intentionally crashed a plane he was piloting in order to gain views on YouTube and money from a sponsorship deal promoting a wallet company.
Jacob mounted cameras on his plane to capture footage of him parachuting out as the plane crashed in a national forest in California.
Jacob then attempted to cover up his crime by lying to federal investigators and destroying the plane wreckage.
Jacob's pilot license was revoked and he pleaded guilty to obstructing a federal investigation, facing up to 20 years in prison.
Jacob's video of the staged crash gained over 3 million views on YouTube.
