Toronto Father and Son Arrested for Alleged Terror Plot

Canadian police thwart advanced plans for a violent attack in Toronto, charging the pair with terrorism-related offenses.

The RCMP arrested Ahmed and Mostafa Eldidi in Richmond Hill, Toronto, on July 28.
Both men face charges of terrorism and conspiracy to commit murder, allegedly for the benefit of the Islamic State.
Authorities discovered an axe and a machete in their possession during the arrest.
The investigation began in early July and culminated in a month-long operation.
Officials assure there is no ongoing threat to the public.
