  • The 2026 model, now called the bZ, replaces the bZ4X name to simplify branding and distance it from its predecessor.
  • Toyota has increased the bZ’s range to up to 314 miles with a larger 74.7 kWh battery option, while a smaller 57.7 kWh battery offers 236 miles.
  • The bZ now supports Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) and plug-and-charge capability, improving access to fast-charging networks.
  • Performance upgrades include a 50% increase in horsepower for all-wheel-drive models, reaching 338 hp, and a 0–60 mph acceleration time of 4.9 seconds.
