Trader Joe’s Recalls 61,500 Bottles of Sparkling Water Over Glass Hazard

The recall affects specific lots of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water due to a packaging defect that could lead to cracked or broken glass.

Trader Joe’s has issued a recall for 750 mL bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water due to a risk of glass breakage that could pose a laceration hazard.
The affected bottles, sold between December 2024 and January 2025, include lot codes 11/28/2024 L and 11/27/2024 L, distributed in 12 states including Texas, Florida, and Arizona.
The defect, identified during routine production research, may impact approximately 1% of the bottles in the affected lots, though no injuries or incidents have been reported so far.
Customers are advised to stop using the product immediately, dispose of it carefully, or return it to any Trader Joe’s store for a full refund without needing proof of purchase.
This recall follows a recent series of Trader Joe’s recalls, including frozen Organic Acai Bowls last month over plastic contamination concerns.
