Truck Carrying Gas Cylinders Explodes in Ghaziabad, Damaging Shops and Vehicles

A series of blasts early Saturday morning caused extensive property damage but no casualties have been reported.

The incident occurred around 3:30-4:00 AM at Bhopura Chowk on Delhi-Wazirabad Road in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Over 60 gas cylinders on a truck exploded after a fire broke out, with some reports suggesting there may have been over 100 cylinders aboard.
The explosions damaged at least four furniture shops, vehicles, a warehouse, and a house, with the sound of the blasts heard several kilometers away.
Firefighters used over eight fire tenders to extinguish the blaze, taking approximately 90 minutes, and evacuated nearby residents for safety.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, and local officials have raised concerns about safety risks posed by nearby petroleum facilities.
