Turkish Forces Kill Top ISIS Leader in Syria Raid

According to the Turkish president, Turkish intelligence forces recently conducted an operation in northern Syria that resulted in the death of the leader of ISIS, Abu Hussein al-Qurashi.
Little was known about the ISIS leader who was killed in the operation.
The operation took place in a part of northern Syria that is currently controlled by Turkish-backed Syrian rebel groups.
ISIS has lost most of its territory in Syria and Iraq but continues to be targeted by operations from Turkey, the U.S.-led coalition, and Kurdish forces.
The killing of the ISIS leader comes as Turkey prepares for pivotal elections amid economic troubles.
