Two Oath Keepers Sentenced to Prison for Role in Capitol Riot

Roberto Minuta and Edward Vallejo, members of the Oath Keepers militia group, were sentenced to prison for seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6 riot.
Minuta criticized Oath Keepers leadership during his sentencing and claimed he was misled into committing crimes.
Vallejo waited across the Potomac River on Jan. 6 but texted others that he was ready to deploy on command.
Minuta was sentenced to four and a half years in prison while Vallejo received three years in prison and one year of home confinement.
The judge said the sentences reflected the minor roles Minuta and Vallejo played but increased them slightly due to the acts of terrorism.
