Two Separate Fires in Berlin High-Rises Leave Two Injured

A fire broke out in the second-floor apartment of an 11-story high-rise in Berlin-Spandau late Saturday night, seriously injuring one person who was hospitalized.
The Spandau fire involved burning furniture, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
In a separate incident, a basement fire occurred in an eight-story building in Berlin-Neukölln earlier on Saturday evening, lightly injuring one person who was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The Neukölln fire damaged two basement storage units, with smoke spreading to stairwells and some apartments, though most residents were able to remain in their homes.
Both incidents required substantial emergency responses, with 50 firefighters deployed at each location to extinguish the flames and secure the buildings.
