Two Seriously Injured in Separate Car Accidents in Southern Brandenburg

A 68-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man were hospitalized after their vehicles collided with trees in unrelated crashes in Elbe-Elster County.

A 68-year-old woman veered off the road in Wahrenbrück and struck two trees, becoming trapped in her vehicle before being rescued by firefighters.
The woman was airlifted to Dresden Hospital with serious injuries; the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
In a separate incident, a 55-year-old man lost control of his car on a state road between Reichenhain and Prieschka while driving under the influence of alcohol.
The man’s vehicle collided with a tree, and he was also airlifted to Dresden Hospital with severe injuries.
Both accidents led to temporary road closures as emergency services responded to the scenes.
