Teen accounts for riders between 13 and 17 will be available to book rides and make food orders with parental oversight features like monitoring trips and takeout in real time.
Only experienced, highly-rated drivers can transport teens, and parents can directly contact drivers and Uber support.
Safety features like live tracking, emergency buttons, and audio recording give parents peace of mind.
Uber also announced other new features for families like car seats, group rides and grocery orders, and booking boat rides.
