Ubisoft Broadens Xbox Access to Uplay+ Subscription Service at Steeper Cost

Ubisoft will launch its Uplay+ game subscription service on Xbox this week at a higher price than Xbox Game Pass.
The upgraded "Multi Access" Uplay+ option, costing nearly $18 per month, provides unlimited access to a catalog of over 60 Ubisoft games on Xbox consoles in addition to Windows PCs and Amazon's Luna service.
Uplay+ offers day-one access to premium editions of Ubisoft's biggest franchises like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, with a 10% discount on additional in-game purchases.
The standard Uplay+ subscription for $14.99 per month remains PC-only, while Ubisoft partners with PlayStation to provide console access to over 100 of its games as part of PlayStation Plus membership plans starting at $9.99 monthly.
Analysts say Ubisoft's pricing risks pushback from Xbox owners who already pay $14.99 per month for Game Pass and its collection of over 100 titles from various publishers.
