Ubisoft Unveils Rainbow Six Siege X With Free-to-Play Option and New 6v6 Mode

Rainbow Six Siege X, a major update to the original game, will feature a free-to-play version limited to casual modes and a restricted operator pool.
The premium version of Siege X will include all operators and ranked play, with existing players of the original game transitioning at no extra cost.
A new permanent mode, Dual Front, introduces 6v6 gameplay with respawns, mixed attacker/defender teams, and a large map designed for dynamic, objective-based battles.
Dual Front includes new mechanics like destructible fire extinguishers, gas pipes for area denial, and updated traversal options such as horizontal sprinting while rappelling.
A closed beta for Rainbow Six Siege X begins today and runs until March 19, available on PC and current-gen consoles, with access granted through Twitch Drops.
