During the police pursuit, the driver reversed the car, injuring an officer, and later drove onto a sidewalk, pinning a 25-year-old pedestrian who sustained life-threatening injuries.
A total of eight people were injured, including two passengers in the car, with emergency responders providing immediate medical care.
The Berlin Fire Department deployed 60 personnel and 22 vehicles to manage the aftermath, while passersby and police freed the critically injured pedestrian before their arrival.
