US Announces $300 Million Military Aid Package for Ukraine, Including Air-Launched Missiles

The package includes a short-range air-launched rocket called Hydra 70 as well as artillery rounds, missiles and other equipment.
The Hydra-70 rocket system is an unguided air-to-surface rocket used in aircraft like the Apache helicopter and F-16 fighter jet.
This is the 37th approved security assistance package for Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February 2022, totaling nearly $36 billion.
Ukraine is preparing for a spring counteroffensive against Russian forces that continue to target Western weapons supplies.
The aid package will be funded through existing US supplies and equipment.
