US approves another $1.3 billion military aid package for Ukraine

The Pentagon announced an additional $1.3 billion in military assistance for Ukraine's defense against Russia's invasion.
The package includes air defense systems, drones, ammunition, vehicles, and demining equipment to be purchased from US manufacturers.
This brings the total US military aid committed to Ukraine under the Biden administration to over $40 billion.
However, strained supply chains and production timelines mean it could take up to two years for some of the equipment to reach Ukraine.
As the war continues, maintaining military aid and avoiding depletion of US stockpiles remains a challenge.
