US Lands Prize Recruit in Arsenal Striker Folarin Balogun

Folarin Balogun, a 21-year-old forward for Arsenal, has chosen to represent the United States men's national team over England's youth teams where he has played.
Balogun was born in New York but raised in London and was also eligible to play for Nigeria, where his parents are from.
FIFA approved Balogun's request to switch his national team allegiance from England to the U.S.
Balogun is expected to report to the USMNT for the CONCACAF Nations League finals in June after a breakout season on loan in France where he scored 19 goals.
Balogun's decision is a coup for a U.S. program that has sought a consistent goal scorer for years.
