Utah Woman Arrested for Allegedly Killing Estranged Husband in His Sleep

Jennifer Gledhill reportedly confessed to a confidential informant about shooting her husband and attempting to cover up the crime.

Jennifer Gledhill, 41, has been charged with murder and obstruction of justice after allegedly admitting to shooting her estranged husband, Matthew Johnson, 51, while he slept.
Police have not yet located Johnson's body, which Gledhill claimed to have buried in a shallow grave at an undisclosed location.
The couple was in the midst of a contentious divorce and custody battle over their three children, with a protective order against Johnson denied just days before the alleged murder.
A search of the couple's home revealed bloodstains and evidence of an attempted cleanup, including a new mattress and bleached walls.
Gledhill is being held without bond as investigators continue to gather evidence and search for Johnson's remains.
